Dr. Cassaundra T. Wimes

Dr. Cassaundra Wimes is the owner and founder of Unified Counseling & Mediation, PLLC (UCM), a private psychological group located in Miami Gardens, FL. Miami Gardens is the largest African-American city in the State of Florida and our staff is reflective of the community. The mission of Unified Counseling & Mediation, PLLC (UCM) is to provide effective mental health counseling to balance the mind, body and spirit. Our vision is to de-stigmatize mental health services, embrace overall wellness and enhance the quality of life for all people. Our motto is “Mind + Body + Soul = Unified.” Our organizational goal is to help society embrace the idea that mental health and physical health are equally important and sustainable. UCM specializes in providing the highest quality of confidential mental health counseling services to children, adolescents, adults, and families. We also provide intensive employee assistance program (EAP), marital, couples, group psychotherapy, psychological evaluations and consulting services.

Dr. Wimes is a Licensed Psychologist, Florida Supreme Court Certified Mediator, and Qualified Supervisor. She earned a PhD from Florida State University’s APA Accredited Combined Counseling Psychology and School Psychology program. In addition, Dr. Wimes earned a B.A. in Psychology and M.S.Ed in Counseling Psychology with a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy, while playing on the Women’s Basketball team at the “U”- University of Miami, Go Canes!
